SPEAKERS
Lourdes Gant, Michelle Franze
In this episode, we have Michelle Franze of the Young Salmon Farmers of BC talked to us about:
How does the Young Salmon Farmers Group prioritize environmental sustainability in salmon farming practices, and what specific measures are being taken to minimize the industry’s ecological footprint?
Salmon farming has been associated with various environmental challenges, such as water pollution and disease transmission to wild salmon populations. What steps is your organization taking to address these issues and promote responsible aquaculture practices?
As a young person concerned about climate change and its effects on marine ecosystems, I am interested in knowing how the Young Salmon Farmers Group collaborates with environmental organizations and engages in research to continually improve the industry’s environmental performance and adapt to changing climate conditions.
Enjoy!
